ROSE X - a black kimono coat

ROSE X

A kimono light weight coat, fully hand woven in merino wool, antique japanese silk & cotton and possum fiber on a cotton warp. The sleeves are made from linen and merino wool woven in crepe and have underarm openings at the connection with the body.

Varying weave structures create a rhythm throughout the textile

The neckline and hem are finished by hand. The ties are made with cotton tape. 

 All pieces are hand woven by Christopher Duncan. They are unique and have there own personal stories, signatures and figures layed in during the weaving process.
