Azuma bag in navy & black hemp cotton weather
by Mittan
Two-layered, furoshiki style, Azuma bag in navy and black hemp cotton weather by Mittan.
The bag is inspired by the behavior and spirituality that Japanese people have inherited since ancient times, namely "tying" and "wrapping". It has a unique design of two connected Azuma bags. By turning one inside out, the bag overlaps twice and it can be used seperately on the inside and outside. By tying it in a creative way, the range of uses can be expanded, and the length can be adjusted.
The fabric is made of a blend of hemp and cotton for both the warp and the weft, and is dyed in Kurashiki. Hemp has long been known for its durability. The smooth feel of hemp is added to the softness of cotton.
Knots and uneveness in the threads are part of the unique character of the natural materials.
